Welcome to the Ethanol Plant Analyzer:
A GIS Driven Tool for Assessing Ethanol Feasibility.

This project was developed by Kevin McNew and Duane Griffith at Montana State University
and is supported by Farm Foundation

E-Plant Analyzer (Version 1) - This Mapping Application allows you to see what would happen to corn prices in a local area if you opened an Ethanol Plant of a given size. The size of the region where prices will be impacted is displayed, along with the price impact at specific local markets.

Help file explaining the mapping site operation - This file provides explanation of the tabs and tool bars found on the mapping site listed above. Users who are new to Internet mapping applications may find it helpful to review this document. A similar help document is also available using the Help tab on the mapping site.

Locating an Ethanol Plant: Impact on Corn Price - Learn how corn prices are impacted from the opening of an ethanol plant. Also, provides an understanding of where your grain flows will come from for a new ethanol plant.
